Faces behind the voices behind the faces

- Mr Pickles guest stars

Brooke Shields

Mr Pickles cartoon on the Adult Swim network has a habit of bringing in famous guest stars to voice some of the characters. Most well known is Brooke Shields as permanent character Mrs Beverley Goodman. Brooke has been dutiful mother and wife, Mrs Goodman since season 1.

Shields has been a movie, television and theatre actor as well as model and spokesperson. She really catapulted to fame as the star of The Blue Lagoon and Endless Love. But had also been the face of Calvin Klein, La-Z-Boy and been on TV in Law and Order and Friends amongst other things. She was previously married to tennis star Andre Agassi.

But who else has appeared in the show that you might know from somewhere else?

Rob Zombie

Rob Zombie has appeared as Vegan Cult Leader, with the most amazing beard. In Rob Zombie's own words, he was the "douchebag leader of a vegan cult". In the episode "Vegans" Mr Pickles killed most of the cultists. Safer to eat meat and risk cholesterol issues than to be a vegan around Mr Pickles.

Rob himself is actually a vegan. He has been a long time rock musician in White Zombie and later as a solo artist. He has also been a successful movie director. Directing remakes of two Halloween movies amongst others.

Weird Al Yankovic

In the same episode "Vegans", Weird Al Yankovic played one of the cult members.

Al is a singer, songwriter, parodist, record producer, satirist, actor, voice actor, music video director, film producer, and author. He is known for his humorous songs that make light of popular culture and often parody specific songs by contemporary musical acts, original songs that are stylepastiches of the work of other acts, and polkamedleys of several popular songs, featuring his favored instrument, the accordion

Iggy Pop

Another rocker, Iggy Pop, played Texas Red, a bounty hunter in the episode "Where is Mr Pickles?" The character and the actor both looked about as old and wrinkly assed as each other, but that's where the similarities ended.

Iggy is designated the "Godfather of Punk, and is an American singer, songwriter, musician, producer and actor. He was the vocalist of influential proto-punk band The Stooges, and is well known for his outrageous and unpredictable stage antics. The perfect fit for a Mr Pickles voice guest star.

John Waters

Better known for being the director of "Hairspray" and "Cry-Baby", movie director and screen writer John Waters played the role of Dr Kelton in the episode "Coma".

Other famous guest stars have included the gorgeous Vivica A. Fox, Jackass Steve-O, comedian Tracy Morgan and Sopranos actor Frank Vincent.
