Love Island's Jamie Jewitt takes full responsibility for THAT street row with Camilla Thurlow that saw him clench his fist in fury

They were the one Love Island couple that appeared to have it just right.

So the photographs of Jamie Jewitt and Camilla Thurlow locked in an explosive row on the street outside a charity fundraiser left many fans fearing the pair were over for good.

But speaking a month on from the shocking scenes, Calvin Klein model Jamie has taken full responsibility for the fallout - admitting he was reacting to nasty comments on social media.

Jamie, 27, said the cruel words of trolls caused emotions to 'run high' the night he lashed out at his girlfriend.

Speaking ahead of his LDN Talk: Social Media and Me, Jeremy told the Mail Online : "Anything can cause an argument.

"'I do really think it was really the subject that I was reading that caused my high emotions, some people write horrible things and I'm not saying that's why or what caused the argument. It was our reaction to it that night and how I was feeling that night and the time and the place that more that caused the situation to turn into a row," Jeremy continued.

He then added: "It's social media, it's just one of those things."

The reality TV star then revealed he'd been targeted by cruel online trolls since rising fame in the Love Island villa over the summer.

"The things they say are purposefully formulated to get a reaction and they're the worst things you could imagine," he explained.

Speaking after the row hit the headlines Jamie told the Metro: "It was over in seconds and we're absolutely fine."

Back in December Jamie was pictured pointing in his girlfriend's face, holding her phone in front of her and screaming at her outside a charity bash.

In the images, Jamie is clutching Camilla's phone in one hand and balling his other into a fist as he leans towards her, baring his teeth.

Renowned body language expert Judi James said Jamie was "overwhelmed" with anger and his jutting jaw reveals the depth of his emotion.

She said: "Having spent summer being entertained by all the showmances and faked love and passion on Love Island it would only be natural to expect some on-going faux soap scenes from the few remaining couples in a bid to keep the interest going. Sadly though this very dramatic spat from Camilla and Jamie does look like the real thing.

"If it's not then Jamie needs to re-think his acting as he's doing himself no favours with this unpleasant looking body language. There's a phone-quarrel going on, with Camilla either trying to hold Jamie back as he tries to walk away or dissolving into a facial expression of teary misery.

"She's the one using the palms-up gesture of explanation or apology and at times she goes into passive mode with her hands tucked behind her back.

"Jamie looks genuinely furious though. He's a big guy and bends to lean in towards her face as he seems to wave the phone in one fist. The real clue about his anger comes from his mouth though. Lower jaw jutting and clenched teeth like this suggest he's openly overwhelmed by emotion."
